Problem Note 19914: Using Delete key in filter window can remove specified filter value and
return incorrect data
When using the SAS Add-in for Microsoft Office, if you create a filter
on the Modify Data Source window using the Delete key to edit your
filter value, your value might be removed from the filter and incorrect
data might be returned. This will typically happen when you create a
filter on the filter tab, delete a character on the filter value using
the Delete key, and then click OK to run the query and retrieve the
data. The filter will contain a blank value.
To circumvent this problem, use the Backspace key to remove your
character on the filter or type in the filter value field. After you
type in this field with another key besides the Delete key, the delete
key will no longer blank out the filter value. You should now get the
correct subset of data.
